Freight invoice audit against tender

Drop a carrier invoice below and compare it line by line with the tender that was agreed for that shipment. If the shipment reference already exists in our tender store, the contract on file is used automatically. Otherwise enter the agreed rate and the accessorial caps and the same three rules run against them.

Upload or paste an invoice and add the tender baseline. Every charge above the contract appears here with the exact amount to claim back.

How the tender comparison works

  1. 1.The invoice is routed to the matching carrier layout and split into base freight, accessorials and totals.
  2. 2.The shipment reference is looked up in our tender store. If your TMS already sends us tenders, the agreed rate and accessorial caps come straight from the contract.
  3. 3.The base freight is compared to the agreed rate, each accessorial to the approved schedule, and each approved fee to its cap.
  4. 4.Every charge above the contract is listed with the exact difference, ready for the dispute file.

Freight invoice audit questions

What is a freight invoice audit against tender?
It is a line-by-line comparison of a carrier's invoice with the tender that was agreed for that shipment. The linehaul charge is checked against the agreed rate, and every accessorial is checked against the approved schedule and its cap. Anything above the contract is an overcharge.
Why does a TMS miss these overcharges?
A transport management system confirms that an invoice matches what was tendered. It does not question the tendered rate itself, and it does not reject an accessorial that was never in the contract, so those charges pass straight through to payment.
Does the invoice get stored?
No. The document is read in memory to produce the flagged lines on this page and is not saved. Driver phone numbers and other personal identifiers are stripped before any comparison runs.
